Portugal Showcases Cutting-Edge Furniture and Interior Designs at Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi 2024

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – September 2024 – Portugal is set to bring its finest furniture and interior design talent to the Arab market’s most influential hotel industry event, the Hotel & Hospitality Expo Saudi Arabia 2024, scheduled from September 17 to 19 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center.

Organized by the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture (AIMMP), the event will see twenty-four leading Portuguese furniture and design companies showcasing their innovative products and solutions aimed at capturing the attention of the hotel and hospitality sector’s key buyers and decision-makers.

Spread across three stands located in Hall 6—6G31, 6H31, and 6F31, with a dedicated meeting point at the Convention Centre—these Portuguese brands will highlight the country’s talent and creativity in interior design, bringing forward both innovation and sustainability.

Commenting on the importance of this international event, Mr. Vítor Poças, President of AIMMP, emphasized the strategic role of the exhibition in promoting the internationalization of Portugal’s wood and furniture industries. “This initiative not only highlights the excellence of Portuguese design but also opens doors to new partnerships and opportunities, reinforcing Portugal’s leadership in creativity and quality,” Mr. Poças said.

The exhibition will also feature several exclusive events organized by AIMMP, aimed at fostering partnerships between Portuguese and Saudi designers, traders, and industry professionals. One of the highlights will be a seminar titled “The Use of Wood – a Challenge to Sustainability and Creativity,” to be held at King Saud University on September 19, 2024. Mr. Vítor Poças will address the international standards of Portuguese designs in the hospitality sector, while Mr. Henrique Pereira, Director of the CASAIS Group for the Middle East, and Professor Arch. Artur Soares will discuss sustainable construction and interior design innovations.

Portuguese designers Artur Soares from Designer’s Mint and Carlos Mello from MainGuilty will participate in a design talk titled “Design in the Real World: Confronting and Conquering Industry Challenges” on September 19 at the exhibition. This discussion will explore the latest trends in interior design and reinforce Portugal’s position as a leader in creativity and quality on the global stage.

Portugal’s participation at the Hotel & Hospitality Expo will allow top industry players and investors to connect with the best Portuguese talent and explore the use of wood as a premium material for innovative building and infrastructure projects that meet high aesthetic and sustainability standards.
