The Federal Minister for IT & Telecom Syed Amin-Ul-Haque attended a virtual meeting with CEO Mr. Massimo Cristini of World-leading messaging provider Intellico AG based in Switzerland, here on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed e-communication and investment/ servicing opportunities in Telecom Sector. Intellico AG, showed their interest in exploring the opportunity of partnering with GOP in the A2P (Application to Person) messaging business, to monetize the incoming traffic from international brands.
Syed Amin-Ul-Haque said; A2P & P2P messaging are the most powerful communication tools available in the market. Works with practically every phone, and serves as a reliable and immediate #communication channel. He said Pakistan is currently served by 5 main Cellular operators.
“It is estimated that the international traffic is around 100 Million #SMS per month in Pakistan”, he added.
The Federal IT & Telecom Minister assured the Intellico AG of his all possible support regarding future investment and bilateral cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Member Telecom, DG Wireless and Intellico representative for Pakistan Mr. Bilawal Ali Joya.
