Karachi: A ceremony was held at a local hotel between Iqra University North Campus and Sindh Food Authority, where representatives from various private and public sector universities in Sindh gathered to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for mutual cooperation. The event was attended by Vice Chancellors and senior officials from other universities, as well as top officials from Sindh Food Authority.
Fakhar Hussain, the Director-General of Sindh Food Authority, stated that they are committed to providing practical training opportunities to students and graduates of all universities. He also emphasized on cooperation with other institutions to facilitate research and provide advanced laboratory facilities for food-related studies.
Dr. Muhammad Masroor, the Dean of Health Sciences at Iqra University North Campus, expressed his gratitude to the officials of Sindh Food Authority and appreciated their efforts. He highlighted the significance of private universities in promoting academic and practical excellence, ensuring top-notch facilities for students, and fostering collaboration with national and international institutions.
He further added that the Human Nutrition and Dietetics program at Iqra University is making considerable efforts to offer quality education to its students, and emphasized the need for mutual cooperation to fill the gap of qualified faculty in this field, allowing them to introduce Masters and Ph.D. programs. The ceremony concluded with the signing of the MoU.
