EVER since the unfortunate incident at Minar-e-Pakistan, women’s veil has been the topic of discussion, so it was agreed to know the opinion of a woman. The remark made by this heavenly believer is remarkable and a moment of reflection for fashion-conscious liberal women.
May this thing descend into the hearts of our liberal women too …?”
The woman says: “Whenever I have to go out of the house, I often notice one thing, and that is what today’s young generation has made of the hijab, I do not understand what kind of hijab it is? It is a matter of the last few days, I went to a clinic, there was a lot of rush, so I took the token and sat aside and started waiting for my turn. Meanwhile, two or three young girls entered the clinic, wearing beautiful maxi-like abayas, very tight sleeves, very beautiful work on the neck and sleeves.
A small scarf was wrapped around their heads with great beauty and sophistication. On the left side of the head, on the top of the scarf, there is a pin embellished with jewels. The scarf was so small that it could barely reach the throat just below the face. It was not even enough to cover the chest. I thought what type of this abaya that cannot cover the body as Abaya was it was clear all the ups and downs of the body, the scarf was worn only for beauty in which the face was also open.”
Spangle eyes, eyebrows, liners, mascara and lipstick, all were prominent on their faces…
A wave of pain arose in my heart, such obscenity in the name of veil?
Such a hijab needs a hijab itself…!!
And some women who only manage to cover their face a little but don’t cover their chests.

When I see it, I am left feeling only my heart, I wonder if this is the same veil which Allah has commanded us. Our women also adopted burqa and hijab as fashion.

Just think, is this the same veil that the Qur’an has commanded?
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَنْ يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا.
سورۃ الأحزاب. 59
O Prophet! Ask your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to hang their sheets/shawl over their heads. Thus they are more likely to be recognized and not persecuted and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. The veil which the Qur’an commands is to conceal the adornment of believing women, so that it may be recognized that they are noble women, do not look down on them. But what is happening in our society today in the name of veil and hijab, if it is not stopped, the veil itself will become a joke۔
What does it mean to wear a burqa, what does it mean to wear a scarf … Is it to attract the attention of others, no matter what? The kind of abayas and scarves we have started using, are they really meeting the requirements of the veil? Or have we adopted another adornment in the name of hijab? What is the ultimate purpose of such hijab? Who are we pleasing? Who do you want to impress? Just touch your hearts, are we doing this veil to please Allah? Does this veil meet the requirements of our faith? The veil gives honor and dignity to a woman, makes her honorable in the eyes of others, show her respect and dignity among the people. Protects her from the greedy eyes of non-mahram men.
The veil protects the woman.
My humble and compassionate request is to our Muslim sisters, to our society, to let the veil of God remain a veil, not to sacrifice it to your desires and fashion. Maintain your Islamic dignity, embrace simplicity, simplicity is part of faith.
Fashion does not bring honor, Allah gives honor, fix your intentions, use loose fitting and simple hijab and burqa, keep Allah’s pleasure in mind, cover up to fulfill Allah’s command, rules of religion.
Don’t make fun of the commandments of religion. May Allah guide us to the right path, save us from the deception of Satan, make us as you like.
Or may Allah protect us from the temptation of Dajjal and protect our faith.
