Two Pakistani spinners have achieved career-high rankings in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings, thanks to their consistent performances with the ball. Although Pakistan recently suffered a narrow 2-1 series loss to Bangladesh in a three-match series in Chattogram, two of their standout players have made significant gains in the top 10 of the updated T20I bowlers’ rankings.

Spinner Nashra Sandhu, who claimed three wickets during the series at an impressive average of 13.33 and a commendable economy rate of 3.63, has moved up two places to secure the fifth position in the rankings. This advancement represents a new career-best rating for her in T20I bowling.

Nashra’s teammate, Sadia Iqbal, demonstrated remarkable reliability by taking three wickets in the series, which led to her climbing three spots to the seventh position in the overall T20I bowlers’ rankings.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s spinner Nahida Akter emerged as the leading wicket-taker of the series, securing eight wickets. As a result, she skyrocketed 28 spots in the rankings to reach the 22nd position. Her teammate, Rabeya Khan, also displayed an impressive performance, moving up 18 places to share the 29th position after taking three wickets in as many matches.

Bismah Maroof, a Pakistani veteran, emerged as the leading run-scorer during the series with 98 runs, and her performance earned her a four-place rise to the 26th position in the T20I batters’ rankings.

Teammate Muneeba Ali was the only batter to register a half-century in the series, and her achievement propelled her up 15 places to the 51st position in the T20I batters’ rankings. On the Bangladesh side, Murshida Khatun showed significant improvement, moving up six spots to secure the 53rd position after scoring 43 runs in two matches.
