Agthia Partners with Ma’an and Kubza for UAE’s “A Million Pieces of Bread” Initiative

Abu Dhabi: Agthia Group PJSC, a leading food and beverage company in the region, has partnered with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an and Kubza Bakeries to support the “A Million Pieces of Bread” initiative, aimed at providing essential food support to over 200,000 people across the UAE during Ramadan. This initiative aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025.

As part of its contribution, Agthia will supply over 22,000 kg of Grand Mills flour, 100,000 bottles of Al Ain Water, and other ingredients to produce more than half a million pieces of bread. This collaboration highlights Agthia’s commitment to community well-being and social responsibility.

Abdulla Al Marzooqi, Chief People Officer at Agthia, emphasized that the partnership honors the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who inaugurated Grand Mills in 1978. Nizar Kayali, President of Flour & Feed at Agthia, added that the company’s role extends beyond market leadership, reinforcing its commitment to social sustainability.

H.E. Maysa Al Nuwais, Executive Director of Ma’an, praised the collective action and called Agthia’s contribution a powerful example of corporate leadership with purpose. Hanan Faisal, CEO of Kubza Bakeries, expressed gratitude for Agthia’s support in making the initiative a reality.

This collaboration reflects Agthia’s continued investment in community welfare, including a recent donation of food items from its Gulfood 2025 participation to local charities. The company has also invested nearly AED 1.5 million in 2024 to support education, healthcare, and community empowerment across the MENA region.
