Storm Warriors clinched their second consecutive victory in AKG Premier League Season 2 with a 7-wicket win over Friends United in the fifth match held at the historic Aga Khan Gymkhana ground.
Friends United Set a Target of 127
Batting first, Friends United posted 127/7 in 20 overs. Captain Murtaza Majid led the charge with a composed 41 off 39 balls, supported by Syed Ahsan Ullah (22) and Mohammad Ali (20).
Storm Warriors’ bowlers maintained tight control, with Mohammad Shoaib taking 2 wickets for just 15 runs. Rahim Ali and Shayan Ali also delivered key performances, picking up 2 wickets each.
Naseeb Noor Ali Guides Storm Warriors to Victory
In response, Storm Warriors chased down the target in 18.4 overs, finishing at 128/3. Naseeb Noor Ali remained unbeaten on 60 off 55 balls, hitting six boundaries. Amir Hayat added a vital 44 runs off 46 balls, with two fours and two sixes.
Despite Syed Ahsan Ullah’s effort with the ball (2 wickets), Friends United couldn’t stop the Warriors’ smooth chase.
