H.E. Mr. Moussa Hassan Baraze, Minister of Post & Information Technologies of Niger received H.E. Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey Ambassador of Pakistan in his office. During the meeting, they discussed various areas of bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The Ambassador of Pakistan highlighted the recent devastating impact of the floods in Pakistan which resulted in more than one-third of the country being submerged in water. He further briefed about the role of the Ministry of Communication & Postal Service of Pakistan. The Ambassador of Pakistan wished to enhance institutional cooperation between the two brotherly countries. The Ambassador of Pakistan was also briefed about the latest reform and innovations in the postal service of Pakistan.
The Minister of Postal & IT appreciated the role of Pakistan’s Embassy and accepted the Ambassador of Pakistan’s proposal to enhance cooperation & assistance in various sectors. Nigerien Minister also briefed about the various project started by his government towards various innovations and digitalization in the Postal services of Niger. He highlighted that the use of technology and modern equipment enhances the revenue, services and activities of the Post system in Niger. He wishes to increase cooperation in training and capacity building between the two institutions of brotherly countries. He welcomed the proposal of mutual cooperation with the brotherly Muslim country Pakistan.
The Ambassador thanked the Minister for his time and solid response to the proposal to enhance mutual institutional cooperation. He suggested the Nigerien Minister officially share the draft MoU for Embassy’s consideration and further necessary action. He assured Pakistan’s full support in all fields of bilateral cooperation.
