FPCCI Women’s Style, Beauty & Skincare Committee Tackles Industry Challenges and Plans for Growth

by: TN Media News Pakistan: The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) held an important meeting of its Women’s Style, Beauty & Skincare Central Committee on May 13, 2024, in Karachi. The meeting was led by Convener Ms. Zehra Zahid and attended by FPCCI Vice President Asim Paracha and other industry leaders.

Focus on Key Industry Challenges

The committee discussed major challenges facing the beauty and style industry in Pakistan. They focused on how local products can compete better against international brands. The group also talked about obstacles that slow down industry growth.

Ms. Zehra Zahid stressed the need for local products to meet global standards. She said this would build more trust with buyers and help local businesses grow.

New Committee Members and Special Guests

The meeting introduced this year’s official committee members. These professionals bring experience and passion to help the industry progress. Mrs. Nighat Mehmood was re-appointed as Deputy Convener for her valuable past contributions.

Special guests included Dr. Tasneem Kausar, President of the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Korangi, Ms. Rabia Nasir from Korangi Chamber, and FPCCI Deputy Convener Ms. Shamsa J Ahmed. Their insights were appreciated by everyone present.

Past Successes and Future Plans

The committee has a strong history of leading positive changes. They held seminars on harmful skincare ingredients and promoted hygiene in salons during COVID-19. These efforts received recognition from authorities.

Looking ahead, the committee plans a seminar on “Promoting Women Entrepreneurs in Beauty and Clothing.” They are working on strategies to support women and boost the industry’s growth.

Ms. Zehra Zahid and Deputy Convener Nighat Mehmood promised to work hard on these plans. They want to build on the success achieved since 2020 under Ms. Zahid’s leadership.
