Report:- Rana Azeem (Riyadh): A grand ceremony was organized in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to honor Azad Kashmir’s Minister for Rehabilitation, Javed Iqbal Badhanvi. The event, attended by hundreds of members of the Kashmiri community, highlighted the ongoing development efforts in Azad Kashmir and reaffirmed the commitment to the region’s progress and the broader struggle for the independence of occupied Kashmir.
The ceremony was hosted by Ijaz Rahim, President of the People’s Youth Organization Saudi Arabia, and brought together prominent members of the Kashmiri diaspora. Participants praised the current government of Azad Kashmir for its dedication to implementing welfare and development projects, ensuring the provision of basic rights, and addressing the concerns of the people.
In his address, Minister Javed Iqbal Badhanvi emphasized the significant strides made by the Azad Kashmir government in improving the lives of its citizens. He stated, “The current government is committed to the welfare and development of the people, and we are working tirelessly to solve their problems and provide them with their basic rights.”
Badhanvi also expressed confidence in the upcoming elections, predicting a landslide victory for the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Azad Kashmir. He reiterated the collective resolve of Pakistanis and Kashmiris to continue their struggle for the independence of occupied Kashmir, stating, “We will not rest until the dream of a complete Pakistan, including an independent Kashmir, is realized.”
Other speakers at the event, including Ilyas Rahim, Ahsan Abbasi, Hafiz Jamil, Maroof Chohan, Sardar Naseer, Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Sardar Razaq, and Pervez Shakir, lauded Javed Iqbal Badhanvi’s contributions to Azad Kashmir’s politics. They described him as a leader who has consistently prioritized public service and played a pivotal role in the development of his constituency.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment from the Kashmiri community to support the development of Azad Kashmir and to continue advocating for the rights and freedom of their brethren in occupied Kashmir. The event underscored the strong bond between the Kashmiri diaspora and their homeland, as well as their unwavering determination to achieve a brighter future for the region.
