Former president of Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA), the largest organization of cricket in the region, Chaudhry Muhammad Zulfikar hosted a dinner in honour chairman and members of Pakistan Journalists Forum-PJF last Wednesday night at BBQ-Tonight Jeddah.
Choudhry Zulfiqar is also a well-known businessman and social personality. Chairman PJF Amir Mohammad Khan described Chaudhry Zulfiqar’s services to cricket in Saudi Arabia, especially in establishing and developing WPCA. His financial support and passionate commitment to the formation of WPCA are unforgettable. He added that Chaudhry Zulfiqar had also intended to build a grassy ground and a turf wicket for the players, but he could not complete this project.
The participants included senior journalist Syed Mussart Khalil, Sohail Shah, Dr. Ziauddin, Sadiq ul Islam, Khurshid Zafar, Mohammad Adeel, Khalid Nawaz Cheema, Mohammad Amanatullah, Jamil Rathore, Amir Mohammad Khan, Ms. Maryam Shahid also discussed various matters of mutual interest and development of cricket in Saudi Arabia with Chaudhry Zulfikar.
The participants in the event expressed their regret over the martyrdom of senior journalist and anchor Arshad Sharif in Kenya and prayed that Allah gives his family the courage to bear this shock.
