Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to bat first as they planned to put a massive total and than depend on their bowling to bowl out Islamabad United who on the other hand got all their key players back and ready to put-up a big show?
Lahore Qalandars lost the man in form Fakhar Zaman and Phil Salt were out when the total was 9 with a magical bowling from Laim dawson to remove them both. Abdullah Shafique and Kamran Glulam played some magnificent strokes to build the partnership and Shafique was played some elegant shots with fearless hitting for his 52 off 28 balls.
Shadab Khan deceived Ghulam and was successful to break the partnership and he further took an excellent catch to remove Shafique and Harry Brooks was run out where Lahore Qalandars were 141-9 not and were expected to get over 150 mark.
Islamabad United were feeling good to be chasing 150 but Wiese has some other plans for the last over as he smashed 27 with massive sixes to get his team a total of 168 and got the local crowd who were out their to support the Lahori’s paid off to see such shots all over the ground.

Final overpressure game, Shaheen decided to go with the man who smashed 28 in the over to defend the 7 runs. Waseem Khan Jr didn’t take singles in the first 2 balls as he wanted to smash Wiese for 6 but he was not able to and got run-out taking the double.
The very next ball another high catch which brought the stadium on eclectic fire as the screams were heard all over the grounds even the umpires were not able to hear the nicks of the batmen.
Islamabad United would blame themselves as they didn’t play the game as they have been in the round matches although the injuries hit them but when they got the unit together and the show was on to be on their side, they gave away with minor mistakes and that is T20I for you.
Lahore Qalandars on the other hand is the only team that has not yet won the PSL and it would be a great opportunity for them to win this on Sunday but they will have the stop the team that is playing some extraordinary cricket and that is Multan Sultan.
It will be packed stadium on 27th Feb 2022 as the home team takes on Multan Sultan to wrap up the exciting tournament.
