Etisalat International delegation calls on Federal Minister for IT & Telecom Syed Amin Ul Haque.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque said that the first priority of the Ministry of IT is to increase the reach of 4G technology in the country.
The Federal Minister for IT was talking to a delegation of Etisalat International led by Mr. Mikhail Gerchuk, CEO & International here on Wednesday. The delegation comprised Mr. Abdulrahim Al Nooryani, CEO of Etisalat Pakistan, Mr. Hatem Bamatraf, President and CEO of PTCL & Ufone, and Naveed Butt, Chief Regulatory Officer. Additional Secretary (Incharge) Ministry of IT Mohsin Mushtaq was also present.
Matters related to connectivity, 5G technology and the telecom sector were discussed during the meeting.
The Federal Minister for IT said that the future of technology in Pakistan was linked to introducing 5G technology. He said that the Ministry of IT was extending full support to telecom companies. He urged telecom companies to play their role in bringing modern technology to Pakistan. He said that every possible step was being taken to make 5G business-friendly.
Syed Amin Ul Haque said that the trial coverage of the 5G will be started initially in major cities.
The Etisalat delegation lauded IT Minister Syed Amin Ul Haque’s initiatives regarding telecommunication. Mikhail Gerchuk chuk, CEO & International, expressed readiness to invest in the IT & Telecom sector of Pakistan.
