“Fraport Set to Elevate Role in Saudi Aviation: Anticipates Key Jeddah Contract Amid Vision 2030 Transformations”

German transportation giant Fraport aims to solidify its stature as a strategic partner in the Saudi aviation market, with a forthcoming contract in Jeddah on the horizon, as revealed by Alexander Larisch, the Managing Director of Fraport Saudi Arabia. Speaking at the Saudi Airport Exhibition, Larisch expressed Fraport’s enthusiasm for the “enormous transformation” outlined in Vision 2030 and its commitment to becoming the market’s strategic partner of choice.

Identifying significant potential in Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector, Larisch highlighted collaboration opportunities with key entities, including Matarat Holding and the operators of Jeddah Airports Co., Dhahran Airport, and Cluster 2 Co. Fraport, having previously been active in the Kingdom’s aviation market from 2008 to 2014, is poised to re-enter with renewed vigor.

Despite challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Larisch shared Fraport’s recent support for Riyadh Airports Co. in achieving operational readiness for Terminals 3 and 4. He emphasized Fraport’s commitment to growth in Saudi Arabia, stating, “We have had our establishment since 2008 and we would like to grow with the projects in Saudi Arabia.”

Looking ahead, Larisch outlined Fraport’s plans for expansion in the Saudi market from a consultancy perspective. With a global presence in 28 airports worldwide, Larisch emphasized Fraport’s standing as a reputable partner for the aviation industry, rooted in trust, relationships, and positive engagements with key decision-makers.

“As Fraport, we have a global name and presence. Our business model, operating not only in Frankfurt but in a total of 28 airports across the globe, speaks for itself. So, I think we are a good partner for the aviation industry,” Larisch concluded, underlining the importance of trust and collaborative relationships in the dynamic aviation landscape.”
