Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed is set to represent Multan Sultans in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) following a trade deal. In this exchange, Rilee Rossouw returns to Quetta Gladiators. The trade also grants Multan Sultans the first pick in the platinum round one and the first Silver category pick.
Iftikhar, known for his power-hitting and clever off-spin, brings a wealth of experience with 229 T20 matches, accumulating 4,476 runs, including a century and 30 half-centuries. Having debuted in October 2010, he boasts a boundary every 6.75 balls and recently achieved the 50-wicket landmark with an economy of 7.31.
Expressing his delight, Iftikhar stated, “It is an honor for me to represent the people of Multan,” emphasizing his ambition to help the team secure the prestigious HBL PSL trophy. Captain Muhammad Rizwan welcomed Iftikhar, highlighting his outstanding all-round skills and positive team spirit, aiming to build a champion team.
