By: Syed Mussarat Khalil, journalist Saudi Media: The General Assembly of the Environmental Projects Cooperative Association (epca) held its ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meetings yesterday evening, Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
The meetings were attended by a representative from the Ministry of Human Resources and the Chairman of the Board of Associations, Mr. Hashim Al-Hamed. Several important decisions were made, including the discharge of the founding council, whose term has ended, and the approval to increase the association’s capital to ten million riyals and open the door for contributions to raise the capital.
The new council of the association, consisting of eleven members, was nominated. After the meeting, the elected council convened for the next four years and elected Major General Dr. Mohammed bin Mustafa Al-Juhani as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EPCA for Environmental Projects, Engineer Omar Matbouli as Vice President, and Engineer Abdulhakim Sahab as Financial Supervisor. The new board of directors consists of the following members:

3. Mr. Firas Al-Aseilan
4. Professor Sayed Fathi Al-Khouli
5. Dr. Mohammed Tajuddin Hussein
6. Professor Asaad Abu Rziza
7. Dr. Osama Abdul Wahab
8. Dr. Abdul Basit Sirfi
The Environmental Projects Cooperative Association, which has 56 members who are experts in environment, energy, water, health, and agriculture, recently signed an agreement with a prominent businessman in the Tabuk region to establish a giant nursery for producing seedlings with an international company specializing in green cover development.
This nursery will be one of the suppliers of seedlings that contribute to the development of green cover in line with the Crown Prince’s initiative. The association also signed two water purification agreements with an international company specializing in the purification of wastewater and dams using nano and microbubble technology.
The increase in the association’s capital will help finance many projects, especially supporting productive families. To launch the association into the next transitional phase, Dr. Faisal Hamza Abu Radeef Al-Nazawi, an experienced administrative and operational expert, was appointed as the CEO of the association to activate the association’s strategic plan.
