By TN Media News | Dubai: Memac Ogilvy has appointed Samer Abboud as its first-ever Regional Chief Growth Officer for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The appointment is effective immediately and aligns with the agency’s broader strategy for regional expansion and innovation.
Dual Role to Drive Regional Ambitions: Abboud will continue to serve as Managing Director for Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Iraq, a position in which he has led impressive growth over the past three years. His expanded remit aims to accelerate performance across the agency’s five business units: Advertising, Brand & Content; Public Relations; Health; Experience; and Growth & Innovation.
The new role has been introduced to strengthen Go-To-Market and Go-To-Client strategies, while ensuring sustainable growth across 11 offices in nine MENA countries. Abboud will work closely with Memac Ogilvy’s Chief Executive David Fox, along with other regional leaders and country MDs.
Leadership Built on Proven Success: In his remarks, Abboud expressed gratitude for the opportunity: “I am honored to accept this role and look forward to bringing further diversified talent and clientele to the agency through transformative, impactful work.”
He added that 2021 was a transformative year, highlighting how the agency overcame pandemic challenges with effective, forward-thinking campaigns.

Fox also noted Abboud’s successful launch of the Doha office in 2012, which evolved into a significant regional hub, further proving his capability to lead growth.
Extensive Industry Experience: With over 20 years of experience, Abboud has worked with global brands and government entities across diverse markets. His leadership contributed significantly to the agency’s 2021 achievements, including exceeding targets and securing key clients in growth markets.
That same year, Memac Ogilvy played a central role in Ogilvy’s EMEA region, which was the most awarded region in the most awarded network globally. The UAE office also ranked eighth in the WARC Best Agencies in the World list.
