Karachi (Sports Desk): Muhammad Saleem’s all-round performance led defending champions Tangar Star to their third victory in the Khatri Premier League Season 3 Floodlight T20 Cricket Tournament 2025, defeating Sonija Soldier by 11 runs in a thrilling contest.
Tangar Star Posts Competitive Total
The floodlit encounter at the historic Asghar Ali Shah Stadium attracted a large crowd of cricket enthusiasts. Tangar Star captain Haroon Tara won the toss and chose to bat first.

Muhammad Saleem scored 48 runs off 30 balls with two fours and two sixes, Asif Aliji contributed 25 off 20 balls, hitting two sixes. Usman Khan blasted 24 off 12 balls, including three sixes, Shah Raza added 18 runs with two sixes.
Shahid Mirani was the standout bowler for Sonija Soldier, claiming 3 wickets for 28 runs. Bilal Ng and Abdul Basit Ghauri chipped in with two wickets each.

Chasing 160 for victory, Sonija Soldier managed 148 runs in 19 overs.

Following the match, chief guest Muhammad Ayub Nooraji, owner of Top Kids, presented the Man of the Match trophy and a cash prize of Rs 2,000 to Muhammad Saleem for his all-round brilliance.
The award ceremony also included Muhammad Imran Nooraji (Shoqi Garments) and Muhammad Tauseef (Honey Fashion).
The match was officiated by Muhammad Rehan and SM Bar, with Test scorer Syed Imran Ali as the official scorer.
