Outstanding Services of Pakistani Workers Recognized at Annual Iskancom Ceremony.

By Noor-ul-Hassan Gujar Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: The Best Employee of the Year 2024 ceremony, organized by Iskancom, took place in Jeddah, celebrating the exceptional contributions of workers across various fields. The event, attended by notable figures from the Pakistani community, honored employees for their dedication and excellence.

Prominent attendees included Consul General Khalid Majeed, Trade & Investment Counselor Saadia Khan, Consul Welfare Aqif Iqbal, former Finance Minister Chaudhry Tanveer Ashraf Kaira, and many others.

Chaudhry Ansar Mahmood Advocate, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Gujrat District, delivered a powerful speech urging Pakistanis to focus on self-improvement and contribute positively to society. He stressed the importance of embracing new technologies and enhancing skills to overcome challenges.

Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood, General Manager of Iskancom, highlighted the organization’s annual achievements and announced special awards for workers who sent the highest remittances through legal channels. He also revealed that Iskancom had provided employment to 110 individuals in 2024 and planned to hire 150 more in 2025.

Imran Younis was honored with the Best Employee Award for the third consecutive year, while Ahmed Abu Jabal, an Egyptian worker, received a special recognition for the first time. Zaryab Mahmood, Managing Director of Iskancom, emphasized the organization’s commitment to transparency and merit in evaluating employee performance.

In a special gesture, Consul General Khalid Majeed announced the waiver of passport renewal fees for two Pakistani workers, Aftab Ahmed and Mohsin Ali Butt, who sent the highest remittances. He encouraged Pakistani investors to capitalize on opportunities arising from major projects like Saudi Vision 2030 and the 2034 International Olympics.

The event concluded with awards, cash prizes, and special gifts for outstanding employees, including children Murjan, Abdul Hadi Zaheer, and Essa Saeed. Chaudhry Mukhtar Nabi, founder of Iskancom, thanked the attendees and reiterated the organization’s commitment to supporting its workforce’s welfare and development.
