WPCA hold Prize distribution function of FTL tournament.

Jeddah-(Syed Mussarat Khalil). Western Provence Cricket Association (WPCA), the largest organization of cricket fans in the Western Province of Saudi Arabia, held its prize distribution ceremony of the FTL-WPCA tournament at Lasani Spenzer restaurant, Medina Road.

Dr. Manzoor Qazi, Dr. Mottu Kumar, Dr. Asif Malik, Nadeem Nadvi, Imran Mirza, Zeeshan and Khalil Qazi, were guests of honor in the ceremony. Other distinguished were WPCA officials, players from the 8 winning teams Al-Saudi XI, Abu Dawood Trading, Focus Al-Hamrani, Al-Qabani, Siddique XI, Apex Freight, Arkoma and Blackhawks, performance awards winner, members  from WPCA affiliated teams and media representatives.

The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Hafiz Irfan. WPCA Media Coordinator and Executive council member Dr. Syed Ziauddin welcomed all the guests while performing the duties of master of ceremony. They grand finale event started with lucky draws for the first 80 entrants and distributed prizes to 15 winners by drawing lots.

In his address, Dr. Zia briefly highlighted the cricket services of WPCA and paid tribute to the hard work of the association’s chairman, president, and members of executive council committee for providing the best platform to cricket fans.

He said that WPCA has the honor of being the best organization in terms of discipline in Saudi Arabia. He appreciated the cooperation of Jeddah Municipality representative Ramadan on the facility of the ground.

He thanked Nadeem Saad Al Nadwi, a senior Saudi national player and well-known businessman of Saudi Arabia, for sponsoring the lucky draw prizes and the FTL tournament amid applause and appreciated his services for the development and promotion of cricket. He also thanked the special guests and media representatives.

Finally, the winners of the FTL-WPCA tournament, runners-up teams, man of the matches and best individual performances of batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders, wicket-keepers, umpires and scorers were awarded trophies and cash prizes. The event ended with a sumptuous dinner.
