The Government of Pakistan has honored Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud with the prestigious civil award Hilal-i-Pakistan. This award recognizes his exceptional services to Pakistan.
Award Ceremony in Madinah
The award was presented by Mr. Ahmad Farooq, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. The ceremony took place at the Governor’s office in the holy city of Madinah.
Significant Contributions to Pakistan
Prince Faisal has been actively involved with several charities and development organizations, including the Sultana Foundation. This foundation has educated over 120,000 students in Pakistan since 1990.
As Governor of Madinah, he has also supported the Pakistani workforce in Saudi Arabia. His efforts helped speed up government services like death compensation claims, end-of-service benefits, fine waivers for prisoners, and other labor rights.
Strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Ties
Ambassador Ahmad Farooq stated that this award reflects the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the deep respect Pakistanis have for the Saudi royal family and the custodians of the Holy Sites.
In his remarks, Prince Faisal thanked the people of Pakistan for the honor. He said the historic, cultural, and religious ties between the two nations remain strong and valued at every level.
