PPDCA Honors Retired Umpires in Grand Tradition.

KARACHI. (Sports Reporter):
Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) organized the first class umpires of Karachi who were recently retired from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) panel at Head Office Karachi. Tahir Rasheed and Shamim Ansari while Grade Two umpires Akhtar Qadri and Nazir Butt were honored in a grand ceremony.

President Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association Imran Balwani graced the ceremony. General Secretary Amir uddin Ansari-Director Imtiaz Iqbal, PCB match referee Ali Gohar and Media manager Muhammad Nizam honored these retired umpires with Sindhi salary and commendation award for their services.

Addressing the ceremony, first class umpires Tahir Rasheed and Shamim Ansari thanked PPDCA President Imran Balwani and General Secretary Ameeruddin Ansari and all friends and said that the association organized a reception in our honor. A great tradition has been laid down and it is a proof that PPDCA stands by sports. He said that our services for Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association are always present.

Director Imtiaz Iqbal paid great tribute to the services of Akhtar Qadri and Nazir Butt besides Tahir Rasheed and Shamim Ansari. President PPDCA Imran Balwani while addressing said that you all have done excellent service in umpiring, Umpire Tahir Rasheed also holds the world record for wicket-keeping behind the wickets President Imran Balwani reiterated his commitment that the association is with you people and will never leave you alone.

Finally, General Secretary Ameeruddin Ansari thanked all the guests for coming and we will continue to welcome those who have served in sports. A grand banquet was also organized on this occasion.
