Shahid Afridi came up with an idea to have the Mega star League (MSL) with the concepts to have the ex-cricketers, athletes, and sports journalists which will support them financially.
The format of the MSL is T10 where the veteran cricketers from all over the world will take part along with stars of Pakistan such as Inzamam ul Haq, Waqar Younus, Mushtaq Ahmed and the legend himself Afridi.
“Mega Star League is an entertaining league, which is scheduled to be played in September in Rawalpindi this year. The core idea behind introducing this league is to financially support the ex-cricketers, athletes, and sports journalists,” he said.
“The MSL will feature six teams, and foreign players will also take part in the upcoming league,” he added further.
MSL will attract attention of many as seniors players who are connected with cricket in a way will play with each other and also the fans still want to see them in action.
Afridi said “PSL is for youngsters and I am not young enough anymore. I, Mushtaq Ahmed, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis will play in MSL.”
