Western Provence Cricket Association (WPCA), affiliated with Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) is the largest organization of cricket fans in the Western region of Saudi Arabia, organized its prize distribution ceremony of Challenge Cup 2023 at Al Hotel. (Rosemond) in a grand manner.
Renowned Saudi cardiologist Dr. Asif Malik was the Chief Guest, while International Cricket Umpires Khalil Qazi, Osama Nadvi and senior journalist Syed Mussarat Khalil were the guests of honor. Members of the WPCA Executive Council, players from champion teams Saudi XI, Siddiq XI, Stallion World Ventilation, TMCC and runners-up teams Zultech, Apex Freight, KKR, Landmark Arabia attended the function.
Dr. Syed Ziauddin, WPCA Media Coordinator and Member of the Executive Council welcomed all the guests while performing the duties of Nizamat. He appreciated the efforts and cooperation of the WPCA executive council members. He also thanked the support of Jeddah Municipality representative Ramadan for providing the facility of the ground.
He specially thanked the journalists of Pakistan Overseas Media Forum (POMF) for their participation.
Senior Journalist Syed Mussarat Khalil congratulated the teams who won the tournaments and the players who performed individually in his speech. He briefly highlighted the services of WPCA in development of cricket in Saudi Arabia.
He paid rich tribute to the hard work of Executive Council members Dr. Syed Ziauddin, Ilyas Mustafa, Sohail Shah, Sadiqul Islam, Khalil Dawood and Majid Siddiqui for providing the best platform to cricket fans. He said that WPCA has the honor of being the best organization in terms of discipline in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, the ceremony started with the recitation of few verses from holy Qur’an. The event ended with a sumptuous dinner.
