3rd edition MASA Sports Day concludes with best participation.

Memon Welfare Society-MASA organized the third edition of MASA Sports Day for community members in Jeddah Saudi Arabia in which Memon ladies and gentlemen and children participated in large numbers. The objective of this program of Masa was to attract the people of the community to sports and other healthy recreational activities and to increase the interaction between them.

The Masa Sports Day was inaugurated by Mohammad Surathia with a recitation of the Holy Quran. Siraj Adamji informed the guests about Masa Sports Day in his unique style. Masa President Waseem Abdul Razzaq Tai officially started Sports Day by lighting the Olympic torch at the ground. In the enthusiastic applause of the audience, Muhammad Mudassar, along with other children, went round the ground with a torch. Assisted by Siraj Adamji and Khalid Tanuma, other children carried the torch with the words of Masa Sports Day.

During the program, various games were played among children, youth, and adults. Women also actively participated in the field of sports. Therefore, there was adequate arrangement of entertainment and games for people of all ages. Sports for boys and girls included running, sack race, and lemon spoon race. Women also enjoyed various games of their own in a separate section, which was very organized by Masa’s Ladies Wings.

The youth competitions were also notable, in which the 100m race and the sack race captivated the hearts of the fans and gave the athletes a standing ovation. A unique game was also organized for families. The most interesting game was tug-of-war
There was a fierce competition between four teams of children and adults. To watch this game, ladies and gentlemen stood around the ground and encouraged their respective teams. Throughout the event, Imran Muscatia entertained the audience with his enthusiastic commentary.

A prize distribution ceremony was held at the end of the games. President Masa Waseem Abdul Razak Tai appreciated the services of Sports Committee Head Aqil Teli and Event Committee Head Khalid Tanuma and their team members for organizing this exciting and successful event. Along with this, he also thanked the volunteers who helped him a lot in organizing this successful program.

General Secretary Sadiq Surathia thanked all the guests who spared their valuable time to participate in the program. He lauded the services of the ladies’ wings of Masa, who performed their services alongside the men on the ground. He individually thanked all the sponsors and supporters who offered their support in organizing the event.
For the first time in a Masa program of Masa, the Cricket World Cup match was also shown live on the big screen, in which the enthusiasm of the men was visible.

At the end of the event, medals were awarded to all the children and youth who came in first, second, and third positions. The Massa Ladies Corps Committee also presented medals to the first, second, and third female winners of the family games.

The event concluded with a sumptuous dinner sponsored by Bait Biryani, which was well appreciated by the attendees.
