Ambassador Ahmed Ali Sirohey called on the H.E. Dr. Illiassou Idi Mainassara, Minister of the National Health Republic of Niger. Minister of Health very warmly received the Pakistani envoy in his office. During the call, various areas of mutual interest including investment, training and cooperation in Health Sectors were discussed.
The Ambassador of Pakistan briefed the Minister about the ongoing, devastating impact of the floods in Pakistan which resulted in more than one-third of the country being submerged in water. He further discussed matters pertaining to the organization of the Medical and Training camp in Niger. He highlighted the various problem faced by various investors in the Health care sector in the completion of their legal proceedings.
Minister Dr. Illiassou conveyed his condolences and sympathies to the people and the government of Pakistan on the devastation caused by the floods. He appreciated the active role of the Pakistan Embassy in bringing various investors to Niger. He updated the Pakistani envoy about the execution of protocols of agreement between Pakistani investors and the government of Niger to resume government-owned pharmaceutical company [M/s Sonipharm] operations in the Public Private Partnership mode and declared it a milestone in brotherly relations existing between Pakistan and Niger.
He thanked the brotherly people and the government of Pakistan for this generous assistance in health care. He appreciated the gesture of a brotherly country and praised the role of the Pakistan Embassy. He said that he has been keenly watching the Ambassador travelling across Niger. We have seen an Ambassador of Pakistan who introduced a real Pakistan to both leadership and the people of the Republic of Niger. He has won the hearts and minds of the entire population with his caring and considerate nature.
The Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey reiterated the affirmation of historical bonds of fraternity & amity between the peoples of Pakistan & Niger. He assured that Pakistan would keep its support continued for the brotherly people of the Republic of Niger.
