Australia leave Pakistan on a high note!

This tour for Australia has been very successful as they came to the country after 24 years and they were supported by the fans just as they do with their own team.  They won the hearts of Pakistani fans and took home two trophies of the Test match series along with only T20I.

Aaron Finch won the toss and without hesitation, he decided to bowl at the Pakistani side Babar Azam was in a good form and started off well but lost their way through the middle overs, losing six wickets for 24 runs as the middle order failed.  Australian bowlers were having a great impact and putting pressure once Babar Azam was back in the pavilion, it was difficult for the Pakistani players to get the boundaries where you could see that each player who came out just wanted to hit six.  Usman Qadir displayed some great batting skills to score 15 runs off 6 balls and get Pakistan’s total to 162.

Australia started off as they always do, aggressive and they attacked star Shaheen Afridi for 3 boundaries in the first over they targeted Hassan Ali who is not in form but the management and the captain Babar Azam have been giving him too many chances, expecting him to bounce back but he failed, as he was smashed for 30 in 3 overs.

Ellis’s second spell was something for the Pakistani batsmen to remember for a very long time as he took wickets at regular intervals along with Green and both together had the bowling figures 7-0-44-6 and this is not seen often it will remain for next coming years.

Finch has been under pressure due to his form but in this game, he made sure that he scores as well as gets his team to finish on a high note the tour by winning the only T20I.

I knew I could play a bit.  It’s just been the last few innings, particularly against Pakistan that I didn’t really get through that initial period.  I always had confidence, I always had faith. It’s one of those things that you go through some lean patches at times and everyone can seem to panic, and as people get older people panic a little bit quicker, but the support I’ve had from the players and the coaching staff has been fantastic,” Finch told reporters post-match.

What are the mistakes Pakistan made were in my view they needed to get the guys on the bench to play as most of the players have been playing the Test Match series, ODI so instead of going with the full strength, they should have tried other players such as Shahnawaz Dahani in played of Hassan Ali, Mohammed Rizwan to be rested and given Mohammad Haris a chance and Iftikhar Ahmed to be replaced with Asif Afridi.

Having these players to just tour with the senior players will not help them in the World Cup where these players are playing every single and at the last minute if anyone gets injured then other the excuses we will not have something better to say.  Australia tried their new faces and they paid off so they can now go back and keep these players in mind for the T20I World cup and the same should be by PCB and selectors to bring the talent and test them.
