Dhara Dabang Clinch First Win in Khatri Premier League Season 3

Karachi, Pakistan: In an electrifying second match of Khatri Premier League Season 3, Dhara Dabang registered their first win by defeating debutants Wada Hunters by five wickets under the floodlights at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium.

Dhara Dabang Successfully Chase 182-Run Target

Wada Hunters set a strong target of 182 runs in 20 overs, powered by an explosive 67-run knock by Moin Ali Kachi, who hit 4 boundaries and 7 sixes. He was supported by Shehryar Ghani’s quickfire 28 off 23 balls and Asad Akhtar’s 28 off just 12 balls. Despite their impressive batting, Dhara Dabang bowlers, including Saqib Khan with 2 wickets, kept the innings in check. Mohammad Ashfaq, Mohammad Nasir, and Mohammad Taha took one wicket each.

Mohammad Taha Leads the Chase with Match-Winning 75

In reply, Dhara Dabang chased the target in 18.4 overs, finishing with 186/5. Star all-rounder Mohammad Taha led the charge with a powerful 75 runs off 36 balls, smashing 1 four and 8 sixes. Opening batter Usama AB contributed a fiery 44 off 16 balls, while captain Mohammad Shahid Sagar added 19. Sami Saleem Ladhaya (28) and Saqib Khan (20 not out) helped seal the win.

For Wada Hunters, Rehan Soneja impressed with 2 wickets for just 8 runs, while Liaquat Ali and Shoaib Soneja took one wicket each.

After the match, Mohammad Arif, franchise owner of Wada Hunters and chief guest, presented the Player of the Match award to Mohammad Taha for his match-winning innings. Also present were Mohammad Saleem DS, Abdul Ghaffar Bheda of Bheda Traders (sponsor), and Imran Choudhry, captain of Bheda Tigers.

Match officials included umpires Mohammad Rehan and SM Baar, while Rashid Aslam, an international scorer, served as the official scorer.
