Event Against Indian Oppression in Kashmir Held by Overseas Community with Consul General Khalid Majid as Chief Guest.

Riyadh — The Kashmir Jammu and Kashmir Overseas Community held a powerful event to raise awareness of ongoing human rights abuses in Kashmir, with Pakistan’s Consul General in Saudi Arabia, Khalid Majid, serving as the chief guest. The event, led by Engineer Arif Moghal, acting convener of the Overseas Community, brought together key figures from the Kashmiri and Pakistani communities to condemn atrocities in the disputed region and call for international intervention.

The program opened with a Quranic recitation by Qari Muhammad Asif and was hosted by Raja Shumrooz Khan. Community leaders, including Engineer Arif Moghal, Sardar Ashfaq Ahmed Khan, Sardar Mahtab Sarwar, Raja Shumrooz, and Sardar Waheed Khaksar, along with notable Pakistani personalities such as former Federal Minister Chaudhry Shahbaz Ahmed, National Unity Forum Convener Syed Riaz Bukhari, Muslim League-N Chairman Chaudhry Akram Gujjar, Pakistan Peoples Party President Chaudhry Tasveer Hussain, and Deputy Nazim of Jamaat-e-Islami Mohsin Ghori, each addressed the audience with impassioned calls for action.

Speakers voiced grave concerns over the human rights violations reportedly committed by Indian forces in Kashmir. They emphasized the urgency of granting the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination and implored the global community to acknowledge the escalating humanitarian crisis.

Consul General Khalid Majid reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the Kashmir cause, declaring Pakistan’s continued support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. He noted that the Kashmir issue extends beyond South Asia, impacting global peace and requiring urgent resolution for regional stability.

The event concluded with a solemn prayer for the martyrs of Kashmir and a show of solidarity for the people affected by the conflict. Attendees chanted in support of Kashmir, demanding prompt action from the international community to address the ongoing crisis.
