In the first ODI match, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets. Pakistan has got a zero lead in the 3-match series.
Pakistan completed the target of 256 runs for the loss of four wickets in the last over.
Mohammad Rizwan played an unbeaten inning of 77 runs. Babar Azam scored 66, Fakhar Zaman 56 and Haris Sohail scored 32 runs. Michael Bracewell took 2 wickets, and Tim Southee and Glenn Phillips took one wicket each.
New Zealand had scored 255 runs while playing first, due to the excellent performance of Naseem Shah, the visiting team could not give a big target, they got 5 wickets.
Osama Mir, who played the first match of his career, dismissed two players. Bracewell scored 43 runs and Latham scored 42 runs on behalf of New Zealand.
