Lenovo Strengthens Commitment to Saudi Arabia with New Leadership and Regional Headquarters in Riyadh.

Driving Vision 2030 with Strategic Growth

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Lenovo has announced a new executive leadership team for Saudi Arabia, alongside plans to establish its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh. The RHQ will be located in the iconic Al Majdoul Tower, a growing innovation hub that hosts leading Saudi and international organizations.

This milestone underscores Lenovo’s long-term commitment to supporting Saudi Vision 2030, advancing digital transformation, and driving economic diversification in the Kingdom.

Partnership with ALAT and Local Manufacturing

As part of its strategy, Lenovo has partnered with ALAT, a Public Investment Fund (PIF)-owned company. In February 2025, Lenovo and ALAT broke ground on a 200,000 sqm advanced manufacturing facility in the Riyadh Integrated zone. The plant is expected to start producing millions of “Saudi Made” devices by 2026, strengthening local industrial capacity and creating jobs.

The RHQ will also support Lenovo’s broader regional investments, including a flagship retail store, VIP customer center, R&D initiatives, and strategic partnerships across Saudi Arabia.

New Leadership Appointments

Lenovo has announced three senior appointments to lead its operations in the Kingdom:

  • Lawrence Yu, Head of Regional Headquarters – A Lenovo veteran of 15 years, Yu played a pivotal role in the ALAT partnership and Riyadh manufacturing project. He previously led Lenovo Retail Solutions globally, achieving 40% annual revenue growth and winning the Edison Award for Commercial Technology.

  • Giovanni Di Filippo, Vice President & General Manager, Lenovo Saudi Arabia – With a strong track record in EMEA market growth, he will oversee Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group (IDG), Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), and Solutions & Services Group (SSG) in the Kingdom.

  • Zoran Radumilo, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Lenovo Saudi Arabia – Bringing 25 years of enterprise tech leadership, Radumilo will focus on AI, cloud, and software solutions. He will also develop sector-specific strategies for government, energy, telecom, smart cities, and financial services.

Riyadh as a Regional Innovation Hub

Lenovo’s decision to base its RHQ in Al Majdoul Tower highlights the company’s vision of building a strong presence in one of Riyadh’s premier business districts. Surrounded by PIF entities, government organizations, and leading technology firms, the RHQ will serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Contribution to Saudi Arabia’s Economic Growth

Matt Dobrodziej, Senior Vice President & President, Lenovo EMEA, commented:

“The confirmation of Al Majdoul Tower as Lenovo’s Regional Headquarters and the appointment of our new leadership team mark a major milestone in our regional strategy. Through our partnership with ALAT and investments in manufacturing, we are proud to support Saudi Vision 2030 by driving digital transformation and industrial diversification. Our initiatives in the Kingdom, including the RHQ and Riyadh-based manufacturing facility, are projected to contribute up to USD 10 billion to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP by 2030.”
