Karachi (Sports Reporter): Olympic champion Arshad Nadeem has once again made Pakistan proud by clinching the gold medal, setting a new benchmark for athletes worldwide. His historic achievement has resonated across the nation, inspiring sports enthusiasts and citizens alike. Among those celebrating this milestone were Pakistan’s National Physical Disability Cricketers, who gathered to honor the country’s new hero.
The Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) organized a special ceremony at the Customs Cricket Academy in Karachi yesterday to mark this monumental success. The event also served as a celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day. Attendees included national cricketers, PPDCA officials, and other dignitaries. The atmosphere was electrified with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Arshad Nadeem Zindabad” as the national cricketers and officials expressed their admiration for Nadeem’s remarkable accomplishment.
During the ceremony, PPDCA General Secretary Ameeruddin Ansari, along with Media Manager Muhammad Nizam, cut a specially decorated cake to commemorate both the victory and Independence Day. Rao Javed, the former vice-captain of the National Physical Disability Cricket Team, also took part in the celebrations, leading the group in congratulating Arshad Nadeem for his historic achievement. The event was filled with joy, pride, and patriotic fervor.
Speaking on the occasion, Ameeruddin Ansari lauded Arshad Nadeem’s exceptional performance, noting that his victory has not only elevated Pakistan’s standing in the international sports arena but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition among athletes from India and Pakistan. He emphasized that Arshad Nadeem’s success has bridged gaps and inspired sportsmen across the region to push their limits.
Ansari also highlighted the achievements of Pakistan’s physically disabled cricketers, who have represented the country with distinction on international platforms. He expressed concern, however, that despite their successes, these athletes have not received the same level of support as their counterparts in other nations. Ansari stressed that Pakistan is brimming with talent, and with adequate support at the government level, these athletes can continue to bring honor to the nation.
As the ceremony concluded, the echoes of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Arshad Nadeem Zindabad” remained a testament to the pride and joy felt by all present, as Pakistan celebrated its latest sports hero and looked forward to a future of continued success on the world stage.
