By: Rna Azeem, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced that all arrangements for Hajj 2026 have been successfully finalised, with the first flight of Pakistani pilgrims scheduled to arrive in Saudi Arabia on April 18.
The minister made these remarks during his official visit to Riyadh, where he was warmly received by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Saudi Arabia President Sheikh Saeed Ahmed, along with prominent community members Mahmoodul Haq Dogar and Adnan Iqbal Butt, as well as party officials and workers.
Speaking to attendees, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf highlighted that the Hajj operation for 2026 will commence with the arrival of Pakistani pilgrims starting April 18. He emphasized that, in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, comprehensive and improved arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for pilgrims.
The minister noted that enhanced facilities have been arranged for accommodation, food, and transportation in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. In a significant development, over 25,000 Pakistani pilgrims will, for the first time, benefit from high-speed travel between the two cities via the Haramain High-Speed Railway.
He further stated that exceptional services are also being ensured during the core days of Hajj in the sacred sites of Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf expressed confidence that, through close coordination with Saudi authorities, the Hajj operation will be completed successfully despite the prevailing regional situation. He also reassured pilgrims that even in the event of rising oil prices, no additional financial burden will be passed on to them.
The minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to providing the best possible services to its pilgrims, ensuring a safe, efficient, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj journey in 2026.
