Pakistani Professor Represented at Kansas State University.

Professor Dr. Faiz Sheik from Sind Agricultural University represented Pakistan by presented a research paper in a conference held by Kansas State University, USA. Dr. Faiz Sheikh said, Pakistan is an excellent market for importing finest quality mangos.

He said, we constantly conduct researches to measure value preferences of consumers for mango throughout the world.  This has helped in establishing reliable value chain practices in the mango industry. Taking about Pakistani dates Dr. Faiz said Date palm is one of the most important trees in semi-arid and dry areas of the world.

Pakistani dates are rich in carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, they have immense importance as a healthy food as well as a desert fruit providing a wide range of essential nutrients.

Inviting international farmers to Pakistan Dr. Faiz said, Pakistan is the largest importer of Pulses in Asia.  He said Pakistan is very conducive marketing for Desi Chickpeas.

He offered International traders of grains to visit Pakistan and explore opportunities for their markets. Participants of the conference appreciated Dr. Faiz Sheikh research paper on pulses marketing in Pakistan.
