Tournament Opens with Enthusiasm:

The PD Quadrangular T20 Cricket Tournament, organized by the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA), began with high-energy matches at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Ground, Gulberg, Karachi. On the opening day, Punjab and Balochistan claimed wins over Sindh and KPK, respectively.

Punjab Edges Out Sindh in Tight Contest:

In the day’s first match, Punjab defeated Sindh by 15 runs in a closely contested encounter.

  • Punjab, batting first, posted 160/6 in 20 overs.

  • Jahanzeb Tawana top-scored with 43 runs off 31 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes.

  • Huzaifa Khan added a steady 33 runs.

  • Sindh’s bowlers Muhammad Anis and Ali Achar took 2 wickets each.

In reply, Sindh could manage only 145 runs despite a valiant 46-run knock by Asif.

  • Frosh Khan and Bilal Azeem supported with 25 and 24 runs, respectively.

  • Punjab’s Captain Abdullah Ijaz and Wasim Mirza took 3 wickets each, conceding just 16 and 34 runs.

Jahanzeb Tawana was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant batting.

Balochistan Overpowers KPK:

In the second match, Balochistan secured a 29-run win over KPK.

  • Balochistan scored 128/6.

  • Muhammad Zaman contributed 36 runs, with Adil Ali adding 22.

  • KPK’s Tanveer delivered a standout performance, taking 5 wickets for 20 runs, while Ali Bakhsh took 2 wickets.

KPK, in response, collapsed to 99 all out in 19 overs.

  • Arbab Shakir top-scored with 22 runs.

  • Balochistan’s Waqif Shah and Tanveer took 2 wickets each.

  • Tanveer’s bowling brilliance earned him the Man of the Match title.
