Sindh Minister Jam Khan Shoro visits different parts of Hyderabad city after monsoon rains.

Hyderabad (June 8): Sindh Minister for Irrigation Department Jam Khan Shoro has visited various areas of Hyderabad city to review the overall situation arising after the heavy downpour of monsoon season and he also reviewed the arrangements made by the District Administration and other line departments.

MPA Abdul Jabbar Khan, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Faud Ghaffar Soomro and officers of the other relevant departments also accompanied him.

Sindh Minister Jam Khan Shoro has visited Latifabad, Qasimabad, Mallah Goth and other areas of the city to review the overall rain situation. He also took visited the pumping stations located in the areas of Latifabad Unit Nos 9 and 4 and also visited the Dulsi Das pumping station and inspected their functionality prior to the commencement of monsoon rains.

Jam Khan Shoro has said that the Sindh government is taking all possible measures to protect the life and property of the people in view of the recent monsoon rains. He directed the officers of the District Administration and others that they should take all possible arrangements during the heavy downpours of the monsoon season in order to avoid any untoward situation.

He also directed them that they should utilize all available resources in order to drain out the rainwater from the low-lying areas of the city during monsoon rains. He further directed them that they should stay alert during the current monsoon spells in the fields and in low-lying areas of the city along with their staff and to ensure pre-placement of the necessary machinery, inventory, and equipment at already identified vulnerable locations of the city.
