by: TN Media News: Pakistani professionals and community leaders in Qatar reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the nation’s development journey and the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 during a vibrant community gathering held on May 14 at @Sarhad Premium Restaurant, Golden Tulip Doha Hotel.
The gathering brought together Pakistani professionals working in key sectors of Qatar’s economy — particularly the energy, engineering, education, business, and social welfare sectors — alongside community leaders, entrepreneurs, and distinguished guests. The event highlighted the growing contribution of Pakistani professionals towards Qatar’s economic growth, workforce development, knowledge-sharing, and community engagement in alignment with the aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030.
A key highlight of the evening was the spirit of unity, professionalism, and coordination among Pakistani professionals serving in oil and gas and other major organisations in Qatar. Speakers and participants acknowledged their dedication towards excellence, institutional values, and constructive engagement with the wider Pakistani community and the Embassy of Pakistan in Qatar.
The event also provided a valuable platform to strengthen professional networking, foster cultural harmony, and promote social cohesion among overseas Pakistanis residing in Qatar.
Attendees welcomed the initiative as a meaningful step toward promoting positive community engagement and reinforcing the image of Pakistanis as responsible, productive contributors to Qatar’s development.
The evening featured cultural performances showcasing Pakistan’s rich heritage, traditional music, and folk traditions, creating an atmosphere of pride, unity, and inclusiveness. A cake-cutting ceremony, symbolising friendship, harmony, and togetherness, added a memorable highlight to the programme.
In his opening remarks, Kashif Raheem, Former Executive Member of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Chairman Standing Committee Overseas Pakistanis (One Window Operation) RCCI, and Country *President of the Pakistani Executive Forum Qatar, emphasised the importance of professional excellence, community cohesion, and constructive engagement in supporting national development goals. He stated that overseas Pakistanis working in Qatar continue to play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations and contributing positively to both Pakistan and Qatar.
Chief Guest Osama Idrees, Community Welfare Attaché at the Pakistan Embassy in Qatar, appreciated the organising committee for creating a meaningful platform that recognised the valuable contributions of Pakistani professionals, particularly those serving in Qatar’s energy and industrial sectors.
He highlighted the strong and longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar, noting that cooperation between the two countries continues to grow in the fields of energy, trade, education, investment, and workforce development. He also acknowledged the positive role of the Pakistani diaspora in strengthening mutual trust, goodwill, and people-to-people relations.
Guest of Honour Ahmad Hussain, former president of Pak Qatar Business forum & Pakistan Welfare Forum Qatar, emphasised the importance of human resource development through quality education, innovation and training in the usage of technology through STEM initiatives. He noted that such efforts are the need of the hour and essential for the survival and sustainability of any nation.
He urged the participants, particularly Pakistani professionals in the oil and gas sector, to give back to society in every possible way. He noted that, as professionals working in the international arena, they are a valuable asset to Pakistan and are well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to the process of nation-building.
Guest of Honour Riyaz Ahmed Bakali, Director of The Next Generation School, reaffirmed his support for educational and community development initiatives that contribute towards building skilled, responsible, and future-ready generations aligned with the educational aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Guest of Honour Qaiser Khan, President of the #Pakistan Welfare Forum Qatar, was recognised for his longstanding contributions towards community welfare, healthcare support, education, and assistance for underprivileged families in Qatar.
The organisers concluded the evening by reaffirming their dedication to sustaining initiatives that promote professional collaboration, cultural harmony, and constructive community engagement in alignment with Qatar’s inclusive development vision. They expressed heartfelt appreciation to the distinguished guests, professionals, community leaders, volunteers, and supporters whose active participation ensured the success of the gathering.
