On 20th July 2022, President of Uzbekistan H.E Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Kyrgyzstan. A series of significant meetings were held between the Cabinet members and the President of Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Sadyr Japarov and other high-level officials. President Mirziyoyev also participated in the meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states on 21st July 2022. I believe that this visit will pave the way for many new avenues of cooperation among Central Asian Republics. The meetings and agendas of discussion will enhance peace, joint prosperity, regional stability, and economic expansion.
It is noteworthy that the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic, and Turkmenistan were also part of this timely summit. President Mirziyoyev, during his speech, highlighted prospects for joint collaboration and new initiatives for Central Asian states in various significant sectors. Expanding trade zones, goods and services, and the creation of joint industrial zones for a shared prosperous future were key areas of discussion.
The meeting also focused on the launch of the Annual Forums for the Central Asian region vis-à-vis sustainable business climate, reviving regional connectivity through soft power projection, including modern technology-based education, sports, culture, tourism, arts, cinema, and cuisines. The recent situation in Afghanistan and humanitarian issues were also discussed and it was affirmed that Central Asian states would facilitate infrastructure development by establishing corridors along with regional stakeholders.
Under these assertions, it is clear that Uzbekistan has attained a highly significant place in the international community due to the successful conduct of statecraft by President Mirziyoyev. I strongly believe that soon he will be nominated for a Prestigious noble prize for his untiring efforts to integrate regional countries and the grand initiative of reinvigorating Central- South Asia Connectivity.
