Australian hit by an injury – Mitch Marsh out of the ODI series

Mitch Marsh grounded because of a hip injury

Captain Aaron Finch expects Marsh to miss the entire three-match ODI series with Cam Green to fill the Void.

“I don’t think he’ll be available for this series based on how he was feeling yesterday.  He sustained that yesterday in a fielding drill. It was a high intensity, lateral movement drill.   He bent down to pick it up one-handed and went to throw and felt a twinge in his hip flexor.”

Marsh has been one of Australia’s best white-ball players in recent times, but his absence has opened the door for Green to showcase his talent.

Mitch Marsh was struck down by a hip flexor injury during the practice session at the Gaddafi Stadium and already Australian team will be without the stars like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, David Warner and Steve Smith and also Glenn Maxwell as he recently got married.

There will be new faces with players who have not played that much of ODI cricket but one should never underrate the Australian if they are trying new combinations, which will be the case in the ODI series starting from 29th March 2022.
