Nadeem Nadvi hosts farewell dinner for Syed Qasim Ali Naqvi.

Nadeem Nadvi, General Manager of Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) hosted a farewell dinner in honour of Syed Qasim Ali Naqvi, administrator of the federation-SACF and a very popular figure in community and cricket circles of Saudi Arabia on Friday at Bar B.Q tonight Jeddah. He is leaving for his home country Pakistan on a final exit visa after spending almost 35 years in the Kingdom.

The dinner was attended by Liaquat Ali, senior member Jazan Region Cricket Association (JCA), Akram Qureshi, Yanbu Al Sinaiyah Cricket Association (YACA), Anas Nadvi, Shehroz Naqvi, Sadiq ul Islam, Sohail Shah, Dr. Zia Uddin, Javeed Ahmed, Ayaz Uddin, Kashif Mirza, Amir Mohammad Khan, Shahid Nayeem, Jamil Rathore, Faheem, Zafar, Majid, Shahzab Rafaqat Ali  (Loquat’s nephew) and others.

All participants in the dinner expressed and spoke emotionally about their strong bonds of affection with Qasim Naqvi and paid him rich tribute for his excellent services for the promotion of the game of cricket in Saudi Arabia. Qasim Naqvi dedicated most of his life to the services of cricket. His services are unforgettable. No matter how much tribute is paid to him for his services to cricket, it is less.

Naqvi actively worked with Nadeem Nadvi, Mohammed Iftikhar Hussain and Sadiq ul Islam in the formation of the Saudi Cricket Center (SCC), the National Cricket League (NCL), and the Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) for the development and promotion of cricket in Saudi Arabia.

Qasim Naqvi, who is also a good cricketer and played as a useful all-rounder from SGB Barroom Cricket club in Jeddah. At the end, all participants expressed good wishes and prayed that wherever he lives, May Allah blesses him.
