PEF Delegation Attends 9th Pakistan Industrial Expo Lahore

Lahore, Pakistan: The ninth edition of the Pakistan Industrial Expo (PIE 2025) was inaugurated at the Lahore Expo Centre, marking another milestone in Pakistan-China industrial cooperation. The three-day event, inaugurated by Punjab Minister for Communication and Works, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bherth, showcases more than 200 leading companies presenting advanced machinery, industrial tools, and innovative technologies.

Strengthening Pakistan-China Industrial Ties

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the minister emphasized that the expo is a strong symbol of the lasting friendship between Pakistan and China. He praised the platform for encouraging trade and strengthening bilateral relations in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.

The ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries including Chinese Commercial Vice Consul in Lahore Li Haoteng, Commodore Dr. Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Commodore Mehtab Khan, and senior officials from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) such as Faiz Ahmad Chaddhar and Rafia Sayyed.

PEF’s Strong Representation

A highlight of the event was the participation of a delegation from the Pakistani Executive Forum (PEF Pakistan chapter), led by President Mr. Noman Waseem. The delegation represented key industrial hubs including Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Karachi, and Lahore.

Other notable attendees included FPCCI Vice President Zaki Ijaz, University of Sargodha Vice Chancellor Dr. Qaiser Abbas, Everest Managing Partner Armaghan Muqeem, and Deputy General Manager Zishan Hashmi. International guests such as Mr. Ozcan Kaya from Teknovak Turkiye, Mr. Mian Naeem Javed (Ex-Lord Mayor of Sialkot and CEO of Sublime International), and Mr. Waseem Raza Khan (Chairman of Supreme Technocrafts) also graced the occasion.

MoU Between PEF and Everest International

During the expo, PEF Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Everest International, the event organizer. The agreement aims to enhance collaboration, support international events, and strengthen member networks.

President Waseem introduced PEF’s regional leadership to the Chinese hosts, including:

  • Mr. Rana Touqeer, Chapter Head, Lahore
  • Mr. Umer Farooq Sipra, Chapter Head, Gujranwala
  • Mr. Tahir Sheikh, Chapter Head, Sialkot

He reaffirmed PEF’s commitment to backing Everest International’s initiatives and extended support for their upcoming event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, through PEF’s KSA office.

Fa Wenyan, CEO of Everest International Expo, highlighted the growing significance of PIE as a flagship event in Pakistan’s industrial calendar. He stressed that the expo consistently delivers value by facilitating business partnerships and building a foundation for sustainable Pakistan-China cooperation.
