JEDDAH: WPCA managed 6 matches in the Afternoon Session with 3 in the Afternoon Blue and 3 in the Premier Prime. Umair Ali Khan of Zultec, Ihsan of Stallions Air homes and Yashik Alangad excelled with the ball to take 5 wkts each as Zultec defeated Nesma Airlines, Tuskers went down to Timex Lothers whereas IDB Group thrashed Al Samer Group in the Premier Prime. In Afternoon Blue Stallions crushed Al Kabbani Cricket Group, Karachi Warriors dominated against FRC Planet technology while Fuchs Al Hamrani had the last laugh against KKR. Once again like Morning Session the Bowlers dominated with Batters hitting couple of fifties.
Match # 12: Stallions Air Homes put into bat by the opposition Al Kabbani Cricket Group racked up huge 194 for 6 in allotted 18 overs on ground # 1. Abdulrehman hit 58 in 41 balls studded with 7 fours and a six as he added 65 in 31 balls for the first wkt with Shafeeq who made 37 in 16 balls with a six and 5 boundaries. Jahanzeb made 38 in 21 balls with 4 fours and a six as Hassan Ali 21 whereas Abid Malik and Bajwa made 14 each. Irfan grabbed 3 for 40 and Syed Iqbal 2.
Al Kabbani Cricket Group in response was bundled out for just 91 to lose the encounter by huge 103 runs. Kamran made 17, Syed Iqbal 19 not out and Irfan Ulfat 17. Ihsan grabbed 5 wkts for 16 runs as Faizan had 2.
Match # 13: Fuchs Al Hamrani opting to use the track against KKR racked up 179 for 4 in allotted 18 overs on ground # 4. Nadeem hit 3 sixes and 4 fours to compile unbeaten 62 in 31 balls as he added 65 in 32 balls for the 4th wkt with Shahid who made 44 in 23 balls after the top order took them to 71 for 3 with Ali raza making 21, Irfan Anjum 18 and Zeeshan 17. Saifuddin had 2 wkts on his name.
KKR responded with 156 for 9 in stipulated 18 overs to lose by 23 runs. KKR started disastrously with 35 for 4 in the 5th over could not recover from early damage as later Kabeer hit 33 in 22 balls with 2 fours and Mushtaq made 49 in 39 balls with 3 fours and the two added 58 in 33 balls for the 5th wkt but it was too late as once this pair was separated, KKr lost wkts in a heap to be restricted to 156 for 9. Ali Raza grabbed 4 wkts for 28 and Zaman 2.
Match # 14: FRC Planet Technology opted to bat first against Karachi Warriors to get to 132 for 9 in 18 overs on ground # 5. FRC started well with Rafeeq making 43 in 33 balls studded with 2 sixes and 3 fours as he added good amount runs for the 2nd wkt with Jafar who made 38 in 33 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. But the moment this pair was sent back, the batters to follow just succumbed to the opposition bowlers to be restricted to 132. Adnan Sargoda grabbed 3 for 18, Khan 3 for 12 and Shani 2 wkts.
Karachi Warriors in chase reached the victory target of 133 for 2 in 83 balls to win by 8 wkts with 25 balls to spare. Adnan Sialkoti blasted unbeaten 73 in 45 balls studded with 2 sixes and 9 fours as he first added 46 runs for the first wkt with Riyasath who made 15 and then 81 runs in 51 balls for the unbroken 3rd wkt with Imran who remained unbeaten on 37 off 24 balls with 2 sixes and 2 fours. Prince had 2 wkts.
Match # 15: Al Samer Group using the track first against IDB Group could manage 155 for 8 in allotted 18 overs. Rehan Mughal scored 47 in 27 balls with 2 sixes and 5 fours while Muneeb contributed 31 in 15 balls with 4 fours and a six and the two added 69 runs for the first wkt. Majed Khan then hammered 32 in 28 balls with 3 fours. Abdulrehman Shah claimed 2 scalps.
IDB Group in chase achieved the winning target of 157 for 2 in 83 balls to win by 8 wkts with 25 balls to remain. Very convincing win for IDB here. Rameez remained unbeaten on 52 with 5 fours and a six as he first added 60 runs in 35 balls for the first wkt with Waqas who made 27 with 4 fours and then 89 in 39 balls for the unbroken 3rd wkt with Mazhar who remained unbeaten on 62 with 10 fours and a six to win. Ibrahim took 2.
Match # 16: Nesma Airlines opting to bat first after calling the spin of the coin correctly could manage 141 for 8 in allotted 18 overs against Zultec on Ground # 8. Saddam Hussain made 23, Amjed 20, Saidul 29 in 15 balls and Rafaqat 18. Umair Ali Khan grabbed 5 wkts for 38 to restrict Nesma to just 141.
Zultec in chase reached the winning target of 145 for 4 in 94 balls to win by 6 wkts with 14 balls to spare. Amir Sajjad hit 51 in 34 balls with 9 hits to the fence as he stitched 86 runs in 60 balls for the 2nd wkt with Waqar ul Hasan who made 44 in 35 balls with 5 fours. Javed Iqbal then made 20 and Usman Gulab unbeaten 18.
Match # 17: Timex Lothers won the toss to bat first against Tuskers to blast 188 for 9 in allotted 18 overs on ground # 7. Waqas Ali hammered 60 in 35 balls with 10 hits to the ropes as he added 58 in 36 balls for the 4th wkt with Khurram Azeez (16) to get to 120 for 5 in the 12th over. Later Samiullah hit 26 in 15 balls with 3 fours and a six and Iftikhar 27 in 10 balls with 3 fours and a six to get to impressive 188 for 9. Yashik Alangad emerged the devastating bowler with 5 wkts for 42 and Mohammed 2.
Tuskers then was restricted to 156 for 8 in the stipulated 18 overs to lose by 32 runs. Sharfuddin top scored with 63 in 41 balls with 2 sixes and 3 fours as he added 79 in 59 balls for the 2nd wkt with Yashik Alangad who made 25 with 4 fours after Saleem departed on the 3rd ball for nought. Later Zubair remained unbeaten on 19 and Shibu 18 but it was not enough to cover up the deficit to lose. Ibrar ul Haq got 2 scalps.
