On Day 3 of the International Conference “Along the Middle Corridor: Geopolitics, Security, and Environment”, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram visited the liberated areas of Azerbaijan & Aghdam city. He witnessed the robust reconstruction process in the city. The city holds immense historical significance. Before the illegal occupation of Armenia, Aghdam was the hub of excellence.
During the occupation period, Armenia vandalized the city and plundered all resources. The imprints of the tyrannies by the brutal Armenian government have been visible till now. However, after the liberation, Azerbaijan has been playing a robust role to develop the city and transforming it into a digital hub.
During the visit, Mr. Khalid Taimur, ED, PRCCSF also gave interviews with various Azerbaijani media channels and shared his views on the socioeconomic process. He also discussed prospects for broader cooperation while making the liberated regions into digital/smart hubs.
The international delegation also visited historical sites in the city and witnessed the great transformation taking place by the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
