A project review meeting was held on PITB implemented IT initiatives ‘Disabled Persons Management Information System (DPMIS)’ and ‘Services for Deprived Persons (SDP) across Punjab’ for the Social Welfare Department (SWD) Punjab.
The meeting, held at the Secretary’s Office of the Social Welfare Department, was chaired by Secretary of Social Welfare Mehar Muhammad Hayat Lak. He reviewed the current progress of DPMIS and SDP projects and appreciated PITB’s efforts for achieving projects’ goals within the given time frame.
DPMIS successfully operational in Punjab is an online registration system for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) that has enabled them to apply for and acquire their disability certificate.
SDP, on the other hand, is developing MIS for 12 different SWD institutes across Punjab to help the stakeholders in real-time monitoring by collecting statistical reports and monitoring the resources.
