Blackcaps Daniel Vettori spin coach for Australia

Australia have signed-up the former Blackcaps captain Daniel Vettori as a spin consultant for the upcoming limited overs series against Pakistan.

He joined the training session on Tuesday at Melbourne as the squad begins the final preparations before joining their red-ball counterparts in Pakistan.

Daniel Vettori, on of New Zealand’s best allrounders, he is the eighth players in the test history to take 300 wickets and score 3,000 runs and he is the only players after Sir Richard Hadlee to pass 300 test wickets (362) and currently holds Blackcaps record for the most one-day international scalps (305).

Vettori had worked after retiring since World Cup 2015 with IPL Royal Challengers Bangalore as a coach and he has also worked with Bangladesh as a spin coach.

Australia, who are on their first trip to Pakistan since 1998, are scheduled to play three one-day internationals and one Twenty20 match against the hosts in Lahore from March 29 to April 5.
