RCA completed its season 2022-2023 by organizing the final matches of Prince Abdulaziz bin Nasser T10 tournament on Friday 16th June 2023. A prize distribution ceremony was organized after the final matches in which senior journalist Mr. Mussarat Khalil was the chief guest. Green Bangla CC emerged as champions in Extremez league while Lahore Badshah Green won the Masters League.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Nasser T10 tournament was organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA). RCA is an affiliated member of Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) and working efficiently under astute leadership of CEO Mr. Muhammad Nadeem Babar, former first class cricketer and captain of Saudi National cricket team.
Extremez League Final: Extremez league final was played between DM Banglar Tigers and Green Bangla CC. Green Bangla CC won the final match by 9 wickets. DM Banglar Tigers won the toss and opted to bat first. However their decision to bat first backfired and they lost 2 wickets in the very first over bowled by Ayub. DM Banglar tigers never recovered after this double blow and managed a below par 92/7 in their allotted 10 overs.
All Green Bangla bowlers kept a tight grip with Zakir Hossain the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets for 13 runs in his 2 overs. Shamrat and Mishkat top scored for DM Banglar Tigers scoring 20 runs each. Chasing small target Green Bangla achieved the target in 7.2 overs for the loss of only 1 wicket. Zakir Hossain remained unbeaten on 49. Zakir Hossain was declared as man of the match of the final. Golam Mostafa of Green Bangla was declared as the Best batsman, Golam Murtuja of Green Bangla as the best bowler and Shahid Khan of Jillah Stars as the player of the tournament.
Masters League Final: Masters league final was played between Lahore Badshah Green and King Lions XI, which Lahore Badshah Green won by 9 wickets. Batting first King Lions XI were restricted to 85 in their 10 overs. Atif Hussain grabbed 4 wickets while Aleem Khan bagged 3 wickets. Chasing the modest target Lahore Badshah Green achieved the target in 7.2 overs for the loss of 1 wicket.
Tawheed khan remained unbeaten on 40 and Adnan Khan remained unbeaten on 30. Atif Hussain was declared as player of the match for his 4 wickets. Usman Khadim of Long Life CC was declared as the Best batsman, Atif Hussain of Lahore Badshah Green the best bowler, Syed Khurram of Lahore Badshah Green as the best fielder and Mirza Jahangir Baig of Lahore Badshah Green as the player of the tournament.
