he Wallan Trading Company racing team, piloted by Saudi drivers Mirhan Al-Baz and Faridah Abdullah, clinched the top spot in the 4-cylinder AWD4 drive category at the third edition of Rally Jameel. The team’s triumph in the event, held from March 4 to 8, also earned them the 24th position overall.
Rally Jameel 2024, the first desert navigation rally dedicated to women in Saudi Arabia and the Arab region, saw 55 teams comprising 110 female drivers from 37 countries compete across a challenging 1,600 km course. The rally covered varied terrains including sand, rocks, stones, and mud, passing through Ha’il, AlUla, Umluj, Yanbu, and King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) in Rabigh.
Geely / Wallan team made history as the first Chinese car company to participate in Saudi Arabia’s women’s car racing event. The team’s success reflects a significant step towards inclusivity and empowerment in Saudi sports, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030.
Fahad Al-Wallan, Chairman of Wallan Holding Company, emphasized the commitment to creating a diverse and active Saudi society, in line with Vision 2030. He highlighted the role of sports excellence in transforming the national economy and society.

The Geely Tugella, driven by the team, features a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder direct-injection engine, delivering 238hp and 350nm of torque. Its Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission and BorgWarner’s fifth-generation 4WD system ensure superior road handling.
