On Saturday, April 29, 2023, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, PRCCSF, visited Development Strategy Center and met Mr. Eldor Tulyakov, Executive Director, Development Strategy Center, Tashkent Uzbekistan.
Mr. Eldor Tulyakov warmly welcomed Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram and briefed him about the policies and work of the ‘Strategic Development Center’. He said that a new development strategy for the country was introduced by the Head of the State of Uzbekistan and it was adopted successfully in 2017 and 2021. The strategy aims at the development of Uzbekistan. It consists of five priority directions for the development and special measures have been adopted to ensure the effectiveness of the constitutional reforms in Uzbekistan.
He stated that Uzbekistan is placed among the advanced democracies of the world and it is recognized by the international community. This is an important document for the progress of the country in the near future. The democratic reforms will further strengthen the policies and administration of the country. It will ensure stability, the rule of law, social justice and the judicial system. It will also improve the quality of lives of citizens and the efficiency of services.
It also aims to promote the liberalization of the economy by regulating currency and foreign investments. He further explained that these reforms will focus on expanding ties with other states as well as international institutions. Its goal is to enhance cooperation and build strong bilateral and multilateral relations with countries of the world.
The state ensures the development of society and improves the public sector which included measures to protect the rights of education, health care, culture, employment, infrastructure and environmental protection. The state has planned to implement these strategies/policies through peaceful measures to protect the rights of citizens and the integrity of the country. It believes in cooperation and establishing friendly relations with neighbouring and other states around the world.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram appreciated the activities of ‘The Strategic Development Center’ and for playing its role in the advocacy of Constitutional Reforms in Uzbekistan, in 2023. Pakistan Research Center for Community and Shared Future and Strategic Development Center will work on different Research Projects in future and further work on promoting bilateral ties between both states. He acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Eldor Tulyakov for promoting the vision of His Excellency Shovkat Mirziyoyev, to improve the country’s position and implement a strategy of action for rapid development of the country.
