Mansehra: A workshop on climate change reporting was conducted by Dr. Adil Khan, Assistant Professor at Hazara University Mansehra, to sensitize journalists on the importance of eco-journalism.
The workshop was attended by senior journalists, emerging young journalists, social media influencers, and activists.
The participants were trained on climate change reporting, relevant content creation in local languages, and opportunities for possible collaboration and platforms through which journalists could get support for climate reporting.
“Five of the participants pledged to create video packages, write op-eds in local newspapers on climate change issues of Mansehra every week which I think is a success story and it will contribute to bringing climate issues in the mainstream social consortium,” said Muhammad Hussain Amin who organized this workshop in collaboration with Pakistan-US Alumni Network and E HANDS.
