Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) concluded a successful roadshow in Riyadh on February 25th, 2025, at The Ritz-Carlton. The event brought together travel professionals, business leaders, and industry stakeholders to promote Macao as a top family destination and strengthen business relations between Saudi Arabia and Macao’s tourism sector.
The roadshow highlighted Macao’s family-friendly attractions, luxury offerings, and unique cultural experiences. MGTO introduced special promotions, including halal-friendly dining and accommodations, as well as a new Arabic-English travel guide for Muslim travelers, developed in collaboration with Halaltrip.
“We are thrilled with the success of our roadshow in Riyadh,” said Mr. Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of MGTO. “This event has helped us connect with Saudi professionals and reinforce Macao’s appeal for both leisure and business tourism.”
The event featured cultural performances and networking opportunities, fostering new collaborations in tourism and business. MGTO also introduced its “Travel Stimulation Programs,” targeting niche travel sectors like incentives, weddings, and student groups.
Visitor numbers from Saudi Arabia to Macao have nearly doubled in 2024, and with upcoming events such as the Macao International Arts Festival and International Fireworks Display Contest, Macao aims to attract even more Saudi visitors in 2025.
